Week of 7/14
About 20 people, including all pastors and staffers gathered to work all night in shifts on 'stoning' the Children's Ministry floor, in prep for staining.
We worked nonstop from 6PM 7/13 to past noon on 7/14 in 4-5 hr shifts.
Equipment used: Green stoning machines, vacuums, brooms and grinders.

Week of 7/21--Floor Prep
George on the coring machine, cutting out conduit and other penetrations throughout the building

Mopping team prepares to enter the stained Children's area to mop up the residue after staining
Part of the mopping team remains outside to exchange dirty water for clean in the buckets

Ladies set up for a large group lunch on Saturday
Everyone enjoys a wonderful lunch, and celebrates George's 75th birthday

Week of 7/21--Exterior Painting
Huge team of volunteers assists in the painting of the exterior of the building
Johnny, Joe and other painters cover about 80% of the building with first coat of paint, as God holds off the rain (amen!)
Pastor Allen serves the painters and keeps paint bucket filled and lines clear out front

Week of 7/25--Insulation and Framework for the New Front Entry

Insulation going up in the walls and final inspection before they close them in

Week of 7/26--Prayer Panels
Calvary Austin 1st Wednesday Prayer Panels are posted on the walls around the new building
Written prayers on poster board from earlier in the year are put in the walls, as promised
Anthony Logiudice hangs them prior to final walls going up and concealing them
Our prayers are forever present in God's house
Week of 8/3
The woes of existing plumbing leaks throughout the building cause delays and extra costs
Children's and Chapel area being taped and floated, and ready for primer painting
The front end framing and curve are added and soon will be covered with stucco

Mark continues to connect support structure for decorative metal awning work

We had over 20 volunteers this Saturday to assist in a number of aspects of the project today
Volunteers cleaned up the front area and moved materials off sidewalk to provide access for machinery
Volunteers worked on cutting ceiling tiles to be used in the drop ceiling areas of the building (over 1,000 cut today)
New doors are cut in the exterior wall for access to the Admin area and west hallway, and cement company is framing and pouring cement for new walk ways
Volunteer crews work on mounting box frames on the front end with welding torch
Awesome lunch provided by volunteers and donated pizza by Baris Pasta & Pizza (thanks Toni !)

Scaffolding goes up to frame the efface in prep for the stucco application
Pastor Allen, Andrea and Lauren review color samples for interior selections

Frontend framework in place for stucco application
Storefront gets installed (3 sets of doors), really changes the appearance of the entry
Continued work on the ceiling tiles, and 000's get painted in the auditorium
New skylights being install in the lobby (4 in total, when done)
As always, a great lunch is served and everyone really enjoys the break and the fellowship

Large crew unloads, bundles and moves items to area in building for storage

Sound and Media stuff is beginning to be installed and the curtains are hung, and booth is taking shape
The Lobby floor has been stained and sealed and is about ready for waxing
The Lobby paint job is complete and getting the final touches
