Our summer message series, Spiritual Fast-Tracking, comes to an end Sunday. This year, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, we've been getting "up to speed" spiritually. We've talked about problems, temptation, authenticity, discrimination, credibility, talk, wisdom, conflict, and planning. Last week we talked about finances and why so many of us haven't made God our financial planner. Join us this weekend as we put it all together talking about prayer.

"Nobody plans to fail they just fail to plan." I think there's a lot of truth to that. For example, we all know people with great ideas. They may even pray about their idea but if they never plan to put it into action, it may never be anything more than a great idea. I'm not suggesting that we plan instead of pray. I'm suggesting we prayerfully plan. That's what we're talking about Sunday as we continue the message series Spiritual Fast-Tracking. As we talk about "Planning," we'll learn the importance of knowing and doing God's will for our lives.

We hear a lot about war these days what with the War on Terror. Do you ever wonder what it would be like to be an American soldier in Iraq? Or, for that matter, to live in any one of the world's conflict zones? We honor our veterans and rightly so. That and our hearts go out to people living in war-torn countries. There is, however, more than one kind of conflict zone. What about people living with war in their homes or in their own hearts? The New Testament book of James has something to say about conflict, where it comes from, and what we can do about it. That's what we're talking about Sunday as we continue the message series Spiritual Fast-Tracking.
