First it was Charley. Then came Frances. Next it was Ivan. Then came Jean. Four hurricanes. One state. The last time that happened was 1886 right here in Texas! Now a series of unusual earthquakes near Mount St. Helens in recent days has scientists warning that something more serious could be imminent.

I've been asked whether or not such disasters could be related to the return of Christ. As we continue our overview of Revelation Wednesday evening, we come to chapters six and seven. These chapters begin to describe what will be happening on Earth in the years shortly before the Second Coming of Christ. What we see may surprise you!

Do you remember Milton Bradley's board game The Game of Life? On your first turn, you have to decide either to start a career or to start college. Later you draw three Career Cards and choose one and you draw three Salary Cards and choose one. Later still you draw two House Deeds and choose one. As the game goes on you have to make decisions about insurance, stocks and loans. Even at game's end you have to decide whether to retire at Millionaire Acres or Countryside Acres. If you don't like making decisions, you're not going to like The Game of Life.

Thing is life is no game. Some decisions are no-brainers but others are brainers! In giving us the Ten Commandments, God is saying that there are ten things in life that are so important that He's going to help us decide in advance what to do. We're talking about advance decision-making. You might think of the Ten Commandments as advance decisions made - ADMs for short. Sunday we look at ADM 2 as we continue our Fall message series X.

Maybe you've heard of ousted Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore. He was removed from office in November for refusing to obey a federal court order to move his Ten Commandments monument from the rotunda of the state courthouse. Why all the controversy over the 5, 280-pound block of inscribed granite? What are the Ten Commandments? How do they apply to life in the 21st century? Find out Sunday as we begin our Fall message series X.
