Calvary Austin's women's ministry desires to impact women's lives with the power and love of Jesus.
The heart of the ministry is to equip, strengthen and encourage women to grow in their faith as
they learn the Word of God so their lives may be changed. We provide opportunities for women to
build supportive relationships with one another so we can bear one another's burdens. We believe
that God can and will use any woman in big and small ways, each with her unique gifts, to serve
and support the women at Calvary and in the community of the greater Austin area.
To fulfill these desires we offer Evening Bible studies, Women Helping Women for support and encouragement, Baby Baskets for first time moms, and retreats and special events to reach out to the women
in the community. Biblical Support
Women Helping Women provides assistance to Calvary Austin women in need of support. Prayer is coupled with Biblical truths in two to four one-on-one sessions where women are encouraged to apply God's Word to their lives. Beginning July 9, 2008—Refresh Yourself this Summer with our summer Bible Study series. women@calvary is hosting three book studies. Each book study will have small groups meeting both in the daytime and in the evenings. The evening studies will meet at the church, 7 - 8:30 PM, on 7/10, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, and 8/14.The daytime studies will meet as shown below: Personal Revival by Gary Galbraith Growing in intimacy in your relationship to God... Daytime meets 7/11, 7/25, 8/1, 8/8, 8/15 at 9:30—11 am in Cedar Park What Happens When Women Pray by Evelyn Christenson Learning how to pray in more personal and believing ways... Daytime meets 7/9, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13 at 10—11:30 am in Round Rock Growing Friendships by Tracy Klehn Finding and keeping friends in a fast-paced world... Daytime meets 7/10, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14 at 9:30—11 am in Pflugerville Registration and payment are available at Guest Services beginning June 21st through 29th. Cost is $20/person and includes the book. Scholarships may be available. Childcare is provided only at the daytime studies at a minimal additional cost. Your group leader will contact you concerning childcare. Women's Mini-Conference: Delight Yourself in the Lord...and in some ICE CREAM!!! Come join us August 22nd from 6-10pm at the church for our women@calvary mini conference! Lori Lane from Calvary Georgetown will be teaching on how you can Delight Yourself in the Lord. We'll have times of worship, teaching, fellowship, prayers, and lest we forget... ICE CREAM!!! Registration and payment are available at Guest Services and on-line beginning August 2nd. Cost is $10/person and includes all the ice cream you can eat! Scholarships may be available.
